NOTES: I have no record of John before the 1848 bible record of his marriage.  From 1850 until 1880 he appeared in the census of Lawrence Co., PA, in or near New Castle.  The census gives his birthplace as PA, NJ, NY, and NJ.  In 1880 his parents' birthplaces were also given as NJ.  However, his son Leroy supposedly had the family history traced (but would never give a copy to his brother).  On Leroy's death certificate (Illinois, 1943), the birthplace of his father John is given as Prospect, PA.  Info on the death certificate was given by his daugher (I believe) and is detailed and correct in every detail that I can verify.  Could John possibly be a son of George King, who also lived in Prospect in 1850?  Info on either John or George would be deeply appreciated.  Thanks!
