NOTES:

New information from a John Herron McClelland descendant is convincing that the father of John and James was William R., not Cyrus or Herron as shown on the death certificates below.  Apparently William R. and Mary Ann both died quite young.

John Herron's death certificate #116150 (dup.#0198247) states: Birthplace, Pa.; Father, Herron McClelland, Birthplace Pa.; Mother's maiden name, "don't know", Birthplace "Pa."

James' death certificate #97620 (dup.#0236450) states: Birthplace, Armstrong Co., Penna.; Father Cyrus McClelland, Birthplace "Scotland"; Mother's maiden name "unknown", birthplace "unknown".

The undertaker signing both death certificates was W. E. McClelland [my grandfather, Harlansburg, Pa.], who either made a careless mistake or didn't know where his grandfather was born.
